          還記得這一切的開始只是深夜的一則line訊息。
          “
今年的APCN在東京舉辦,再過兩個禮拜要截止收abstract, 你有興趣寫abstract去投稿嗎?” 腎內的林祐賢醫師突然傳了line給我。但真正吸引我的是後面那句話。如果被accept的話學校會補助機票,科內也會補助住宿,到時候就可以去東京玩喔!!”
         
於是我毫不猶豫地回傳(無視截止期限的急迫)”好啊~那再跟老師約時間討論
         
至於為什麼林醫師會連絡我,是因為我參加了腎臟內科的研究計畫,由洪啟智老師指導生物統計技巧、分配topic、並指導寫論文,而負責聯絡跟監督的就是林醫師。
       
在跟林醫師敲定好約在大同醫院的討論時間後,我便開始著手研究被分配到的topic. 雖說一個完整的data base, table 1-4都在眼前,但是對一個研究領域的新手而言,要無中生有,憑空在短時間內寫出一篇abstract,難度猶如越級打怪般高……即使老師貼心的準備了範本,寫起來依然覺得如墜五里霧中。
       
幸好在老師的專業指導、不耐其煩的指正以及互相討論之下,abstract還是如期生出! (和另一位第一作者兼好友,花了許多時間研究大會的英文網站,並成功投稿abstract則又是另一個故事了XD) 今年二月,終於收到令人興奮的消息: 我們的論文摘要已經被接受! 之後又寄信給我們確認發表日期及細節,收到信的時候有種美夢成真的感覺,好像人已經身在東京了XD 而腎臟科主任陳鴻鈞也很大力幫忙,除了表示贊助住宿品川王子飯店之外(因為這次APCN的地點就在品川王子的宴會廳),也十分關心我們的安全(最後被accept的三個人都是女生),並說我們還是以安排旅遊為主,不必被會期綁住 (太感動了QQ)

不得不說這次真的是個難得的經驗,雖然有許多symposium沒有機會參加到,但是這是第一次參加國際學術會議,並發表成果。讓我覺得自己好像又拓展了一點視野,往舒適圈外又踏了一步。
 
而在發表的過程中,由於選的是poster presentation, 形式就是把海報貼到指定的看板上,在大會指定的時間乖乖站在自己的海報前讓過往各國學者教授詢問。當然也可以去看看其他人的發表成果。如果說過程有什麼挫折的話,大概就是語言的隔閡了! 許多意思無法用英文完整流利的表達出來,心有餘而力不足…….另外一方便,日本教授們的口音有時也比較難以理解,一來一往之間,往往花最多時間是在確認理解彼此的意思,無法能有更深刻、無barrier的交談,真的很可惜。
 
而在東京待了一個禮拜,除了準備發表之外,當然就是和好朋友自助走透透的過程最令人難忘了!除了豐富的文化體驗之外,還有不可或缺的逛街行程,這是我第一次規畫自助旅遊,途中帶來的衝擊及省思令人激盪。在此介紹我旅途中最喜歡的三鷹(宮崎駿博物館)跟吉祥寺:
 
交通:
(1)   山手線到神田,轉中央線(17)到三鴈 or 新宿站乘JR中央線約20分鐘抵達三鷹站。從三鷹站南口搭乘開往吉卜力美術館之連絡巴士 單程票200日圓/ 來回票300日圓(當場購票)
(2)   三鷹車站→美術館: 坐到三鷹,然後走路到宮崎駿博物館(10am-6pm開館,走路15分鐘)或坐龍貓巴士十分鐘一班, 從三鷹到吉卜力美術館的路程,強烈建議用走的!從三鷹車站南口出來,在三鷹之森美術館的公車站旁,有「風之散步道」的指標,標示是1500公尺。就是出車站後向左走到底,下天橋(因為一出車站你就在天橋上啦),一直走沿著「玉川上水」,很美!一路上都有指標,大約走10~15分鐘就到美術館了,搭公車則頗擠!
(3)   吉卜力→吉祥寺:從美術館出來,穿過井之頭恩賜公園就會到吉祥寺,雖然公園真的很漂亮,但是到車站的距離至少有兩公里以上,邊走邊上廁所要30分鐘左右。如果比較累了建議用坐車的,一出公園在走到吉祥寺, 前有一家燒烤店,超讚!便宜又好吃!
  吉祥寺---藥妝、古著(多且比下北澤便宜)、伴手禮(多而便宜)
1.      穿過吉祥寺車站,出車站「中央口」(北口),一直延伸出去到五日市街道的的商店街叫做「太陽道商店街」SUN ROAD,是台灣人最愛的藥妝採購一級戰區,也是服飾店與餐廳等小店聚集地,也可通往東急、PARCA或伊勢丹百貨公司,太陽道(Sun Road)商店街除了藥妝以外,也有多間鞋店、服飾店,或是咖啡廳等小餐館。要補DHC貨品,或是喜歡一蘭拉麵的,這邊也找得到。
2.      藥妝店:比東京的便宜(周五六日還會有拍賣會更便宜) 每間最低價都不同 自己選~但都最便宜!

這次的旅程收穫良多,不但代表高醫參加國際學術會議,見識這樣的場面及氣度,也滿足了旅遊的癮。希望能夠在研究領域上再接再厲,下次還能有機會代表母校出去爭光。
