IPSF:
International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation
IPSF
represents approximately 270,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates from
around 70 different countries worldwide. The students are represented in IPSF
by their national pharmaceutical students’ associations, the so-called ‘member
organisations’. The main initiative of IPSF is to create and maintain an
international network for students and pharmacy professionals alike. IPSF
initiatives focus mainly on the areas of public health, pharmacy education and
professional development. Initiatives include public health campaigns, research
on issues in pharmacy education and workforce development, the Student Exchange
Programme and organising international and regional congresses. Furthermore,
IPSF works in close collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO),
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) and
the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). The IPSF World Congress is
organised each year by a member organisation. It has a recurrent programme of
ten days.
